Isa 11:3 His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
Isa 11:4 But with righteousness He shall judge the poor,…
Rom 2:2 But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things.
There are many more verses that teach on the merciful judgement of God. God judges or decides righteously. God knows all the facts of a matter. Not only does He know all the facts of the particular sins…but He also knows all the thoughts of the heart.
When God judges He judges according to truth. To judge simply means to decide , to distinguish. God knows that man is weak, mortal and a prisoner of sin. It is only He who can set a person free from the power of sin. No man can overcome the sin nature he is born with, except he turn to the Lord and receive His cleansing through faith in Jesus blood sacrifice.
Furthermore no man comes to the Lord of his own free will. Said another way, if a person comes to the Lord it is because God has drawn him or her. Jesus made it clear that no one can come to Him for salvation unless and except the Father draws him. Jesus also said, “You did not choose me, but I chose you.” John 15
Paul also taught
“So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. Rom 9:16
It is not of him who wills….in other words it is not left up to man’s so called free will to get himself saved. God saves a person. God draws a person to Jesus. Unless God draws you, you cannot come!
Act 13:48 And as the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of God: and as many as were ordained (tasso) to eternal life believed.
As many as were ordained or appointed. Tasso- It means 1) to put in order, to station 1a) to place in a certain order, to arrange, to assign a place, to appoint
People are hoping God will come and destroy all the wicked sinners. I hope He comes and sets them all free and draws them all to Jesus. Jesus died for everyone , and all men are being drawn to Jesus, but they come to Him only in the timing of God. You were ordained to come to Jesus when you did, and others who have not come in yet, are ordained to come to Jesus at another time.
God will judge with righteous judgement , knowing all things and taking into account all things that have happened in a person’s life. God understands why and how. God knows for instance, that a young boy was raped before he was 10 years old….and how that young fellow was shaped by that experience forced upon him. God knows the woundedness and the putridness of that wound. He knows that evil spirits of lust and perversion came around that young boys life and assaulted him daily with thoughts in the first person saying inwardly to him, “I am different, I like boys, I like to do things with boys”
God knows how a person ended up believing so strongly that they are homosexual. He was there when the young girl was raped by a male in her family. He knows the twisted woundedness that was never healed. He knows that beneath the certainty in that dear one’s mind lays horrible painful bleeding wound. He knows that spirit’s of darkness have attached themselves to that one’s soul and flesh. He knows that they daily convince and speak in the mind of this dear child of God that,” they are different, they like to do things with girls.” But God knows the truth.
God knows that deep inside there is confusion and doubt as to who they really are. God knows and therefore God shows mercy.
The other day my wife and I were praying for certain people and I wept as I realised just how little I have prayed for people over the years. I said I was sorry to God. He quickly replied , “Son, don’t worry about it, you were not in a place to pray.”
God knows all things. We judge ourselves and others by the harshness of the law…or even our own expectations of what a good person would do. But God judges differently. He takes into account everything…EVERYTHING!! Every mitigating circumstance. All the pressures, all the things done to us, and not done for us. And He shows mercy.
Do not be too hard on yourself. God is not hard on you.
Do not be hard on others…even those who may be sinning in horrrible ways…God is not hard or harsh with them. In fact He will show everyone just how merciful He is.
God will set free every single person from the guilt and shame of their past. He will do it. He loves all people and has promised that all people shall be saved.
Luk 2:10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.
Luk 2:11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.
Good news of great joy. Is your Gospel good news of great joy—TO ALL PEOPLE?
Or is it only good news to a few people? God said through the angel, that Christ the Lord, the Saviour, WILL BE good news of great joy to all people. I did not write it, God did. Ask yourself whether your version of the Gospel is good news of great joy to all people or not.
God will set all people free through His righteous judgements.
